The newer label in the United States is industrial/organisational psychology (or I/O psychology for short). In the United Kingdom, it is often called occupational psychology, but this term is uncommon in most other countries. Throughout Europe, increasing use is made of the psychology of work and organisation and work and organisational psychology to describe the area.
