Because of the near-canonical status of the ASPR with its manuscript format, and the resulting double appearance of Soul and Body, it is often unclear, on the face of it, whether one is dealing with two versions of one work or two separate poems. , V and E, are separate in the same way that Homiletic Fragment I and II are. , Smetana (1967), Ferguson (1970), Frantzen (1982).
