It is written in a small uncial hand, originally had about thirty lines to a page, and was badly decayed and blackened upon discovery. ”57 Despite the poor condition of this manuscript, the text is very accurate and free of interpolation. 58 The Washington Manuscript of the Minor Prophets (Washington ms V, Rahlfs W, Kenyon X, van Haelst 284), a fragmentary mid-third-century Greek papyrus codex, was considered at the time of its discovery to be the oldest existing witness containing a significant portion of the biblical text.
