Versions in camouflage material, both SS pattern mottle and commandeered Italian cloth, were also issued. Members of Waffen-SS armoured car and, later, self-propelled gun and tank units, wore a version of the Army's smart black double-breasted Panzer blouse, with a smaller, more rounded collar, and tapering black trousers with ankle boots. Later, from 1941, self-propelled gun crews received tunics and trousers of the same cut but in grey material. Camouflage-patterned and reed green twill versions appeared late in the war.
