Finally, I examine in this chapter Engels’s role as editor of the Marx manuscripts, particularly those relating to Capital 3, in approaching the perennial charge that Engels distorted Marx’s intentions. This issue has taken on new importance in the light of the publication of the original Marx documents in the MEGA series.
