März bis 23. April die Ausstellung ,Die Frau - in Familie, Haus und Beruf< statt. Sie wurde durch die konservativen Frauenverbände getragen. Es gab nur eine ex- plizit als Nazi-Organisation erkennbare unter ihnen: den ,Bund deutscher Mädel in der Hitlerjugend<. Immerhin hielt Goebbels zur Eröffnung der Ausstellung seine erste öffentliche Rede nach der Übernahme des Propagandaministeriums. Im Jahr 1933 versuchten die Nazis, den lange vorher angebahnten großen Ausstellungen ihren Stempel aufzudrücken.
Auch im Hinblick auf den Werdegang von Personen ist die -Kamera· aufschlußreich. Die Ausstellungsarchitektur wurde von Winfried Wendland entworfen. Wendland war zu dieser Zeit noch Kommissar im preußischen Kulturministerium und Kustos an den Vereinigten Staatsschulen. Er war vom Typ her einer jener Architekten, die es nie zu der Publizität und dem Ansehen gebracht haben, die sie zu verdienen meinten. Seine Briefe an den damaligen Staatskommissar im Preußischen Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Kunst und Volksbildung, Hans Hinkel, belegen eine ungehemmte Bereitschaft zur Anpassung zwecks möglicher Beförderung.
